Eina BEMS' leather-wools are
multifunctional.
Think about it. With Eina Bems leather-wools yesterday you
could
have used yours as a wall-hanging, today you could use it as a
sleeping mat, tomorrow as a throw and the day after as a floor rug.
Our leather-wools are multi-functional that means that each
and
every one of our customers will find the best application for
theirs. It so happens that we find our leather-wools best
fitted
to adorn our walls as tapestries or wall-hangings...
Whow... and our rugs are HYPOALLERGENIC and also lint and dust free!
Tapestries, wall-hangings
The color vision and the special feel and touch of Eina BEMS' rugs
bring interior decoration to a new height, a truly different level, a
magical level where the colors of the four seasons immerse you in
natural beauty. Their silky appearance and soft touch will remind you
of your loved ones... and the reflection of the latest fashion trends
in Europe give them tremendous artistic value that without any doubt
will enrich your walls.
Eina BEMS' rugs are equipped to support a rod that can be suspended on
a wall.
Throws rugs
The advanced tanning techniques developed in Australia bless us with
particularly soft and supple leathers that adapt and conform to any
surface they are thrown over. The tear resistance of their fibers being
exceptional is a second blessing, no
more lint nor dust so no more side effects as with woven
rugs on the lungs of your loved ones. With leather-wool rugs, you are
given a healthy product where you can sit or sleep over or under in all
serenity.
Floor rugs
Historically, rugs have mostly served to insulate from the cold of the
ground and as a clean sitting base. This tradition from the moving
people was adopted during the crusades by the European aristocracy at
their contact with the more advanced Middle-Eastern civilization. From
there on, floor rugs ever gained more popularity in the West.
Eina BEMS' rugs are particularly insulating and therefore ideal for
ground use but our guess is, you will want to protect them from heavy
walking to preserve their absolutely stunning beauty.
Sleeping mats
In the eighties the Australian authorities subsidized very actively
research and development of quality lambskins and this activity
resulted in the adoption of an Australian "medical sheepskin" standard.
In this process, the supply chain from raw material through tannery
production, standards, marketing, clinical studies and laundering has
been drastically enhanced. For a good summary and bibliography, go at

Around 1985, a Japanese trading house ordered the first sleeping mats
for import in Japan. Their sale was a success and the imports grew
rapidly. Those last 10 years, sleeping mats became real commodities in
Japan. The Koreans and Chinese are following ...
An idea matured in our minds, why not offer lambskin tapestries / rugs
in the US. We focused as a laser beam on design and on the marketing
idea that our customers should see the value of their tapestries / rugs
increase with time. We firmly believe that the combination of
European designs + limited editions transforms Eina BEMS' rugs into
functional art works that, time passing, will appreciate in value.
In the United States, the idea of sleeping on lambskins remains
presently overwhelmingly unknown but the American pragmatism should
rapidly overcome this state of affairs ...
